Bidfreight Port Operations Keeping Durban Clean (Feb '10)

Goscor Cleaning Equipment (GCE) - formerly known as Tennant SA and leading cleaning equipment distributors in South Africa, boast a long lasting business partnership with Bidfreight Port Operations in Natal.  For many years they have been supplying the various Bidfreight terminals with sweepers, scrubbers and combination sweeper/scrubbers.

Berth 15 in Maydon Wharf was in need of a good cleanup and looked to GCE to find the right solution for them. 

After various meetings with between the two parties Goscor identified the need for the Port to implement a Tennant S30 4-wheel with SweepSmart cleaning system.  This system promised to, not only assist them with debris recovery, but together with the cyclonic system and canister filter, it would ensure less fugitive dirt escaping back into their environment.

Aron Amarchund, General Manager of the Berth was extremely thrilled with the results from the Tennant S30.  “We are highly conscious about keeping our environment clean and reducing dust as much as possible for our employees, general public and the Port of Durban.”

On the day of delivery, a swarm of the Ports employees gathered to witness their new machine in operation.  This feisty S30 sweeper stole the show on this especially windy afternoon and swept up everything in its path.  Paper, dust, large debris and most other dirt was swept up in minutes, with the greatest of ease – no mess, no fuss.
