Goscor Power Products in Kenyan Deal

Kenya is on the verge of getting its first tool-hire company and Goscor Power Products (GPP) is its first supplier.  The company, East African Tool Hire (EATH) t/a ‘Hire It’ is the brainchild of African entrepreneur extraordinaire, Brett Sievwright.

“We are very optimistic about the project,” says Sievwright. “There is significant development occurring in East Africa in general and in Kenya in particular and as there’s no tool-hire facility in these parts, we are breaking new and important ground.”

He adds that his aim is to grow the company throughout East Africa including, ultimately into Uganda and Tanzania.

Michael Faber, MD Goscor Power Products says that he is pleased that his company has had this opportunity to get business going in East Africa.

“This is a high development area and we are positive about its potential and adding it to our burgeoning off-shore foot-print. East African Tool Hire Company has proven to be an extremely reliable and professional organisation and we look forward to an exciting journey with them,” says Faber.

Sievwright says that EATH’s initial stock order was more than R600 000 in value. Goscor’s portion of this was more than 40 items all powered by  Robin Subaru engines including generators, plate compactors, high pressure washers,  welders, concrete saws, water pumps, concrete mixers, power floats, drive units and vibratory pokers and Meiwa rammers also powered by Robin Subaru.

“Our policy from the outset is to stock the highest quality product. This we get from Goscor and, additionally, their service has been top drawer,” says Sievwright.

Goscor Power Products, part of the Goscor group of companies supplies, inter alia, Robin Subaru engines, generators and pumps, Tannong Ruby high pressure piston pumps, Grasshopper zero-turn ride-on-mowers, a general range of light construction equipment including Meiwa vibratory rollers and rammers and Sullair, the industry leader in the provision of compressed air solutions.
